Practically Ethical

DISCLAIMER:

This is merely a product of my weird imagination. I neither intend to hurt anyone's sentiments nor do I want to contradict the age-old morals. I have done it just for fun and because I love writing and then publishing whatever rubbish I scribble on the Internet. Strictly stating, follow these advises at your own risk only, as they might prove injurious to your health/social life, etc. I would not be responsible for any of those consequences. Lastly, enjoy this blog and please sent me your reviews.

[Don't write anything other than the review and please don't expect a reply, as I don't like breaking people's heart! Its not that I'll ignore you but lately I have realized the joy of being a pessimist and recommend you to be one. Either you are constantly proved right or you are pleasantly surprised. So never expect things. Got it? ]

Often in our lives we come across circumstances in which we are confused whether to do a thing that is morally right or the thing which will surely benefit us more but is not ethically correct. Mind you these are not the easiest decision to make!! I often encountered such tribulations and faced a lot of trouble just because I went by the conventional moral ways that our teachers have tried to inscribe in us from our very childhood. (But, on a whole, have failed miserably!).

I recently read a novel by John Grisham whose author's note impressed me a lot. The story had something to do with laws and in the end the author stated that,” Very few laws remain the same. I have moulded and changed few of the existing laws just to move my story along. If you find any such errors please do not write to me, as they were intentional. I do it always and never feel guilty as long as I can disclaim things on this page.” I really appreciated it. Actually, it wasn’t the right thing to do but nevertheless it was successful. People like him and his novels alike. At times following the path, which may not be perfectly ethical, is more successful than the former.

Folks, welcome to the real world. This is not the same world that existed few years back. Its rules are different, its driven by altogether altered philosophies and not all of them are perfectly good so as to say. You cannot change the world. Leave that for Rang De Basanti. But what you can do is change your methods to treat the world. Check out the rules!

1)"Those who say money cant buy happiness haven’t had any."

Yeah, that’s right! Money rules. A great person, I mean other than me, very aptly quoted "Paisa agar Khuda nahi to Khuda ki kasam Khuda se kam bhi nahi." There are people who say money cant give you mental fulfilment and satisfaction and blah blah blah but my perception is different. Happiness and satisfaction are like seawater. The more you drink the thirstier you become. Money is the fuel that you essentially require to even survive on any front of life, leave aside being happy.

2)"Blow your own Trumpet."

Modesty and humility are assets of monks and nuns. Leave it for them. The bottom line is its useless wasting your time, energy and resources in something that may not give you any gain. After strolling past various incidences in my life I have found out that this is indeed the best policy for one's own self (not so much for others though!) A quote from a famous Hindi movie Taal said,"Pehle dukandari phir imandari." Self-explanatory. According to me the biggest cause of remaining unhappy is trying to make everyone else happy. So stop doing that. Its time to think and do something for yourself now. And don't be guilty of being selfish. Everyone is, believe it or not (Of course I am talking about the multitude. For the exceptions I can say that "Voh purush nahi hai. Mahapurush hain". No pun intended!). Announce your contribution yourself, because no one else will.

3) "All that glitters is Cool"

Lets forget about the gold stuff right now. People say different things. "Oh! I am not like that. I judge a person by his inner qualities and not external appearance and blah blah" but this is only good to HEAR. The truth is somewhat different. Today, packaging of a product has become more important than its qualities. A mobile has more probability of rocking the market just because it was promoted be Abhishek rather than a mobile that has better features and is half the price. Same applies with humans. A girl will rather be with a sexy dumb-ass guy than a good guy who doesn’t own a karizma and doesn’t gel his hair. Vice Versa. (Of course again I am not talking about exceptions)

Well, I have lots more to say but I don’t want to make this too long and bore you people. So I'll post that on Part 2 (Sequels are hot these days!) if at all you all want to read it. So, like it or hate it. DO tell me. Cya!
